This night Telegram became unavailable for many users from Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, and also in Russia, where the messenger is being unsuccessfully fought, because of a trivial reason: lights were turned off in the vicinity of Amsterdam. As a result of a large-scale power outage and server overheating, the work of Roskomnadzor was carried out on its own for several hours.
Users from capitals of Europe and the CIS could not login and gain access to their accounts. However, since not all versions of Telegram work in Russia without special methods of bypassing the locks, many simply did not notice it. In addition, the blackout came at night.

The founder of Telegram Pavel Durov apologized for the "serious overheating" of servers:
"Serious overheating of one of the Telegram server groups can cause connection problems for users from Europe in the next few hours. I apologize for the inconvenience - the problem is being solved. "
Massive overheating in one of the Telegram server clusters may cause some connection issues for European users within the next couple of hours. Apologies for the inconvenience.

At the moment, the messenger's work has been restored.
