Already this year in SpaceX are going to launch a prototype of a satellite that will start distributing the Internet and will wait for its "partner" - the second prototype of the satellite will join it a little later, at the beginning of the next year, 2018.
Satellites will continue to test the whole next year, and if they show themselves worthy, already in 2019 SpaceX will begin to send into orbit more and more new devices. It is assumed that SpaceX will be able to achieve the goal in just five years.
Each satellite will weigh about 400 kilograms, and the size will be impressive, but SpaceX believes that the Falcon 9 missiles will do a very good job of making satellites in low Earth orbit much cheaper.
In the future, SpaceX plans to cover the whole Earth with the help of a network of satellites, delivering the Internet even to those parts of the planet where it has never existed before.
