The so-called selfi (the term was even added to the Oxford English Dictionary), in which modern social networks are buried, are a self-imprinting on the camera. This cultural phenomenon is so widespread today that selfies do not disdain neither stars of the first magnitude, nor famous politicians, nor even rovers. But the social survey, conducted by psychologists from the University of Munich Ludwig-Maximilian, showed an extremely unexpected result. It turned out that people are very fond of doing SELFI, but to look at other people's "self" - not very much.

The survey conducted on the Web showed that 82% of respondents would happily prefer social networks with less selfie. At the same time, the survey participants consider their own selfies to be a manifestation of self-irony and sincerity, but others - pure water, self-advertisement and falsity. Such is the paradox: my Selfies are good, but others are just disgusting. Selfies today are really incredibly popular. If you believe statistics Google, only in 2014, the inhabitants of our planet made more than 90 million selfies. Now this number is certainly much larger.

The opinions of people regarding this cultural phenomenon are divided. Someone sees in them creative self-expression and a way of reaching out to other people, while someone feels like a bright manifestation of narcissism in a neglected form. Some doctors, for example, believe that hobby of a person by photographing oneself with time can lead to mental disorder and completely absorb it. Although, looking at some people today, willy-nilly note to yourself that, perhaps, this theory is not so far from the truth.

The survey involved 238 respondents residing in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. 77% of respondents regularly do selfie. At the same time, 67% of participants in the study agree that the hobby of Selfie can potentially lead to negative consequences. And they are not so far from the truth. After all, in recent years, the deaths of lovers of "selfish" have increased, which will fall from some building or bridge, where they climbed in order to make an effective photo, then they will shoot themselves with their own weapons, posing with them in front of the camera.
