What was the surprise of security experts when a 10-year-old hacker from Finland discovered a loophole in Instagram allowing him to remove with impunity the posts of any of the users.
The previous youngest participant in this program was a 13-year-old teenager. But the 10-year-old Finnish genius set a new age record among all contest participants. It is known that the boy's name is Yani, but his name for obvious reasons is not disclosed to the public. The young hacker himself confesses: "I could remove completely the posts of any of Instagram users, even Justin Bieber." Before that, of course, it did not come (and it's a pity), but now for its discovery, Yani will receive a prize of $ 10,000.
For security reasons, no one will tell us how Yani ran this tricky plan, but the hacker himself hinted that he used the code substitution on the Instagram servers, which led to the sending of the command to remove the posts. Facebook specialists have already confirmed that such a flaw exists and needs to be rectified urgently. The program for finding holes in the safety of company products was first launched five years ago, and today it has more than 2,400 participants. The total amount of payments for detected vulnerabilities is more than 4.3 million dollars.
