The famous computer genius, millionaire, playboy and philanthropist Kim Dotcom decided to go even further in his quest to make the Internet a safe place to communicate. In the near future, he promises to launch his own service for video calls, which no intelligence service of the world can listen to.
Kim Dotcom Company Mega will launch a similar service in the near future, according to the news portal VentureBeat. The system will work in the web interface, so you can use it if you have any popular browser installed on your computer. The preliminary name of the service is MegaChat.
This is not the first time that Kim Dotk has publicly mentioned his desire to create such a service. Back in February 2013, he expressed his intention to expand his company Mega and launch free and ultra-secure email services, as well as chat, both text and voice, including their mobile versions.
Apparently, Kim hasn’t gotten to e-mail yet, but video chats may soon please those who don’t trust Microsoft in terms of denying their cooperation with US intelligence agencies. Kim Dotcom himself at one time clashed with government agents (because of the sensational case involving his Megaupload service), who turned his life into a real hell and nearly put a businessman behind bars, depriving him of all his savings and property. So his desire to protect personal information on the web is quite understandable. He has personal motives for that.

“You cannot trust your personal data to any of the US Internet services. Skype is not an option at all. All of these applications contain a mandatory free access to your data for members of the special services, ”Dotcom writes in his Twitter account.
In addition to the standard features inherent in video chats, the MegaChat service, according to the statement of its creator, will support file transfer at high speed. How Kim Dotcom will manage to realize his ideas - we will see very soon.
By the way, it was Kim Dotcom who recently persuaded hackers from the Lizard Squad group to stop DDoS attacks on PSN and Xbox Live game services in exchange for lifelong VIP membership in all current and future Mega services. Hackers accepted his offer and even promised not to ruin the lives of Sony and Microsoft. We can say that Kim Dotcom has a really big, kind heart.
