The PSN network, thanks to which millions of owners of the PlayStation gaming consoles can buy and download games, as well as play with each other over the web, at the time of writing this material has been out of reach for several hours. Responsibility for the cyber-terrorist act was assumed by the group of hackers Lizard Squad, about which she openly wrote in her twitter account .

Ironically, the owners of Microsoft gaming consoles are often called “lizards” (Lizards) because of the proprietary green of the Xbox logo. So what is it: revenge of the opposing camp or a common coincidence? While nobody can say for sure.

Sony servers are under many hours of DDoS-attack, because of what they had to simply turn off. From these hacker attacks, there is practically no 100% protection, so server owners have nothing left but to wait until the attack is over and start the server again. Official reports about the theft of user data from the leadership of Sony has not yet been received. Most likely, the personal data of PSN users are not affected.

Recall that the PlayStation Network has already been cracked in the spring of 2011. As a result of hackers' actions, the personal data of millions of users were stolen. The credit card details were encrypted, so no one was hurt in this regard, but numerous lawyers have made enormous reimbursements from Sony for this incident. Sony security engineers have completely reworked PSN protection to avoid similar data leaks in the future. But against DDoS, all these technologies are powerless.

Lizard Crew hackers claim that they will destroy Sony and a number of other large companies simply because they earn too much and spend too little on quality products for their consumers. Shortly before the attack on Sony, the same hackers attacked Blizzard's Battle.net servers, as well as servers for online games such as League of Legends and Path of Exile.
