The story began back in 2010, when on one of the Warner Bros Studio film sets a golf cart was created, created in honor of the released film about the “dark knight without fear and without reproach”. The machine was recently sold on the eBay auction site for $ 17,500.
The creators of the Batman Tumbler machine admit that they designed it on the basis of the EZ-Go golf car. In total, the creation of cars in the style of Batman took as much as 30 thousand dollars. The machine was modernized not only externally: a reinforced electric battery was installed on it (golf cars usually work on them), 28 inch wheels and an iPad tablet holder as a final touch.
“We almost completely transferred the EZ-Go, partially leaving only its frame. In the new car there is not a cheap plastic part. Each element of the golf car is made using metal, including moldings and hood. Every detail of the machine is made by hand. I had to spend 30 thousand dollars and an insane bunch of work hours to bring it to mind and make it what it eventually turned out. As a result, the car 1/4 of its time was used on the set, and the rest of the time - in a closed pavilion, hidden from prying eyes. ”
