The American multinational company Cisco Systems, which develops and sells network equipment, is one of the largest players in the modern technology market. She managed, as reported by uncrate.com, to find the optimal solution to the above problems - iRobot AVA 500 - the “representative” of the person in any necessary place.
This technological solution is especially important both for international cooperation and, for example, for managers who are absent from their workplace due to some circumstances (illness, business trip), but also when the subordinates need an eye and an eye.
Externally, the iRobot AVA 500 is a construction, roughly speaking, similar to a payment terminal found everywhere: a vertically oriented “pillar” capable of moving with sufficient accuracy thanks to the webcam and proximity sensors that rotate 360 degrees. A similar device is found in the "smart" vacuum cleaner, for example.
On the front side of the device is a roller board with a 21-inch HD screen attached to it, also equipped with a webcam. The board is able to move vertically if necessary by the user.
The robot is controlled via Wi-Fi and a specially developed application for both mobile platforms and personal computer operating systems.
"Now you can communicate with colleagues, leading the conversation and at the same time walking through the corridors and offices of the office, as well as participate in meetings without leaving your home and not even wearing trousers," said Cisco representatives.
