The most interesting was the fact that the consumption of mobile traffic has doubled, compared with the same period last year, and is projected to increase by 50% each year until 2018.
No less interesting was the fact that such a jump occurred due to viewing online video over a cellular network. Ericsson believes that the traffic consumed in watching videos on the Internet will lead over everything else and will increase to 12 times over the next six years.
With 25% percent of video views from smartphones and 40% from tablets, it’s not hard to believe that the growth will be big enough.
